Job Title: Montessori Assistant Teacher

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Montessori Assistant Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that supports the growth and development of young children.

As a Montessori Assistant Teacher, you will work together with Lead Teachers to create a child-centered classroom that fosters independence, creativity, and a love of learning. You will use Montessori teaching methods and materials to facilitate the development of cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills in children aged 2 to 6 years old.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a welcoming, safe, and stimulating learning environment for young children
  • Use Montessori teaching methods and materials to support children’s learning and development
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Observe children’s behavior and progress, and make individualized assessments and evaluations
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment and ensure smooth program operations
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and attendance, and communicate regularly with parents about their child’s development and achievements
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and Montessori teaching methods

Requirements:

  • Montessori certification or training from a recognized institution
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Montessori Teacher
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
  • Passion for working with young children and commitment to their growth and development
  • Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of children and families
