The Wellfleet Montessori Preschool program serves children 2.9 to 5 years old. WMP is open 5 days a week.
Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In keeping with the ideals of the Montessori philosophy, all children entering kindergarten the following year are encouraged to enroll in the five-day program to assimilate to longer school weeks.
The Wellfleet Montessori Preschool guidelines require the class-selection process to include the following principles and priorities:
Spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis. The school reserves the right to use a lottery system to select eligible applicants after all priority conditions are fulfilled.
Children and families are not discriminated against based on their race, religion, income, cultural heritage, political beliefs, marital status, sexual orientation, or disability. Additionally, a child’s toileting ability does not impact enrollment.
At the beginning of the school year, all children must present a signed form from a physician stating the child has received a complete physical exam within one year prior to admission. Up-to-date records of all immunizations and lead screenings are required, or in the case of religious conflict or medical reaction, a written waiver must be secured.
Priority is Given to:
꙳ Current students
꙳ Siblings of former students and teachers’ children
꙳ Siblings of teachers’ children
